Dijana Simic

Raised by two designers, I have always been in contact with arts and design. I started out drawing and painting at a young age. Throughout my high school education, I had three solo exhibitions. I enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts, Graphics department, University in Belgrade. In my first academic year, I worked on my first mural with a group of students. I took part in a big graphics exhibition the same year. My second year is designated by working on a big project that included a mural production, which was dedicated to children in shelter. The project also included teaching children how to make rug dolls, which were the inspiration for the mural. My third and biggest project was the restauration of the oldest mural in Belgrade. The mural opening was a big event and was broadcasted by many national televisions.

In the beginning of my third academic year, having this much experience in traditional art, I attempted digital art and decided to link these two. That made me enroll at graphic design courses, which I finished with flying colors. I even got a recommendation from my course mentor. At the moment, I am attending advanced level courses and I plan on further educating myself in the field as I ultimately chose this to be my career.
